This light-filled boutique gem of a residence resides on a quiet tree-lined street in Chelsea NY. The clients wanted to appeal to the open format living space while keeping it comfortable & livable.

 

The main request was to make it comfortably modern with some WOW factor. Well at DLAB, that is music to my ears! Immediately I was drawn to the client's eclectic style and broad range of art & collectible pieces - I knew I wanted to play off of that for the overall feel and aesthetic.

 

We started with an anchor of intentionally dramatic & oversized pieces in grey tones to fill the space and then added pops of colors & textures to compliment and balance the character of the space. The open format dining, living room, and kitchen lend themselves perfectly to entertaining and hanging out.

 

Each bedroom & bathroom has its own look & feel - bold & unique in color, character, and whimsy. The front entry however is the real WOW experience with the Bahaus 3D carved stone tiles, inflated stainless steel mirror & console, solid cedar wood bench, and moss wall...all enveloped in a soft glow of dark and sexy tones comprised of smoked mirrors, mica stone wallcovering, and custom LED lights.
